Test your knowledge of 'Alpha' (2026) — Yash Raj Films' first female-led YRF Spy Universe film, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
Alpha is a 2026 Hindi-language spy action thriller from Yash Raj Films and the seventh instalment in the studio's popular YRF Spy Universe — following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. It is notable as the franchise's first female-led film.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, who previously helmed the acclaimed series The Railway Men, the film is an origin story centred on Sita, played by Alia Bhatt, who is trained to become an assassin by her father figure, Baba, played by Bobby Deol. Sharvari co-stars as the other female lead, with Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role.
Reportedly budgeted at around ₹300 crore, Alpha represents a major bet for Yash Raj Films as it expands its interconnected spy franchise with new, women-led action. Its release date shifted several times during production before the film reached cinemas in 2026.
